The Roscommon branch of the Western Alzheimers Foundation is embarking on a massive countywide fund-raising campaign aimed at financing the provision of a state-of-the-art respite unit in Tulsk, Co. Roscommon. Planning permission has been secured for the unit which will be a modern purpose built 16-bed respite centre designed specifically for persons with Alzheimers. The unit will cater for local families in Co. Roscommon and from further afield. Presently Roscommon has the second highest incidence per capita of Alzheimers in Ireland. |
